For some reason today Nancy just popped into my mind and I was cast back to when I was a child. I LOVED her programmes. She was a creative inspiration. Thank you Nancy.

It was an honour to know Patrick who made me so welcome in his home along with Nancy. I had a long conversationwith him the day before he died and he was as always a charming and interesting man. I miss the friend that he was and have many happy memories of him and Nancy which I treasure.

From conversations we had I know that Nancy wouldn't have looked forward to living long without Patrick, they were true soulmates. Nancy was a fiesty, formidable lady with great charm and a great talent for inspiring would-be artists to take their first steps. She had a good sense of humour and - like Patrick -was always wonderful company. It was an honour to have known them both.

RIP Nancy. Your painting tips and use of purple paint and a knife influenced a generation of kids in the UK who were bored in the school holidays. Much loved and never forgotten. :-)

"Love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast. It is not proud, it is not rude, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices in truth, it always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love, but the greatest of these is love." Corinthians 1:13

We will always be grateful for Aunt Nan and Uncle Patrick for their unconditional love, encouragement, and faith. They've written the greatest love story of our time. We shall miss them. The world will miss them.

I am very sad that I never got to contact Patrick, I do not know him but wanted to talk to him about a car that I am restoring. I have a 1937 Armstrong Siddeley 12HP (EGF 102) with a Buff Log Book that states that Patrick Armine Wodehouse owned it in the 1950,s. It would have been great to ask him about it but alas that is not possible. I would like to pass on my respects to Nancy and the family for their loss.

Kindest Regards

I will remember Patrick with much affection, he was a charming and endlessly amusing man with a great fund of stories and memories. Always ready and willing to share a joke and great company, the lunches and evenings I spent at Chez Wodehouse in Wimbledon with Nancy and Patrick were full of laughter and great food and wine. As someone who worked all his life at the cutting edge of electrical technology he was a fine example of maintaining an interest in a subject over a period of many years and was a keen computer user and fan of new ways to do things. I think this in part - with his own mischeivous personality - enabled him to remain so young at heart. I met the Wodehouses quite late in llife (about 15 years ago) but I was honoured to know them as great friends and my thoughts are with Nancy at this time

With warm memories
